Hello. My name is Allison Cohenour. I have always been interested in writing a novel. In fact, I have begun several in the past, but never seemed to make it past the first hundred pages. Professionally, I am a grant writer and editor, so I write and read others’ work often, but, obviously advertising collateral and federal proposals aren’t particularly “creative” writing.

I would like to join a group of women who are more experienced in the genre of young adult literature. The novel I began in July is really the beginning for a series of books. I took all of the characters from my previous work and put them together into a combined plot that will, I hope, not only be an exciting story, but will increase readers’ interest in literature and the history of art.

I read your membership guidelines, and I am willing to agree to them, should you be willing to consider another member. I also really like the idea of weekly deadlines. A chapter a week is an attainable goal, and if other people are relying on your participation, then procrastination is not an option. (on my own, procrastination is often an option.)

Thank you for your time and attention. Good luck with all of your writing, and I hope to hear from you soon.

Allison

Thanks so much for your post, Allison, but at the moment we’re full up (max 6 writers). Thanks so much, for your interest, though!
